Prudentia

A Journal 'devoted to the thought, literature and history of the ancient world, and to their tradition', published by the Department of Classics and the Department of Philosophy in the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Prudentia is an informative and interesting journal which is published twice a year, in May and November. It contains original articles on topics related to the study of the ancient world by scholars involved in the historical and literary research of the period. The articles are of interest to students of the ancient world, and to teachers involved in the Classical Studies programme in secondary schools in New Zealand, and of course to all who are involved with topics related to the ancient world at tertiary level. There are many book reviews in each issue, so that Prudentia provides a useful resource for those who want to keep up to date in the field.

Prudentia was founded in 1969 by Gavin Ardley of the Philosophy Department and B F Harris of the Classics Department of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The journal continues to be a joint publication of the two Departments.

The present Editor is Dr Marcus Wilson, Senior Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History in the University of Auckland . The Reviews Editor is Dr Lisa Bailey.
